'Browser' is short for 'Web Browser' which is program on a device that allows you to access the internet. There are different browsers from different companies including Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge or Explorer. You have definitely used one before because you are only able to view this blog post through a browser.

Browsers typically allow you to type in the web address of a website you want to visit in the address bar if you know it. For example, you would type in www.e-learnconnect.com to get to this blog.
You can save your favourite websites so that you don't have to type the address each time and many suggest your most often viewed websites automatically when you first open your browser.
Tabs allow you to open multiple web pages within one browser and are usually displayed across the top.
