Definitely a buzzword worldwide right now and one you should know especially if you are a parent, a teacher or anyone interested in impressing their children/partners/colleagues/friends.
EdTech
Short for Education Technology.
(Also slightly less commonly referred to as 'EduTech'.)
The current crisis has affected over 1.5 BILLION learners and created millions of online, distance or remote learners. Children, their schools and their wonderful parents now turn to Technology to keep learning going.
Technology was intermingled with education long before the crisis - think interactive white boards, online teaching and learning resources, distance learning platforms etc. But the crisis has sparked an explosion of new technology, much of which is specifically designed for learning online. Think Google Classrooms, Seesaw, Moodle etc.
